Maker policies are a way for you to specify key policies for your business. Below are items that we recommend addressing:
- Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
- Is there a timeframe within which a customer can cancel a project?
- Answers to any other questions that you field regularly
Customers are directed to your policies for review before purchase, that way they can be reassured by knowing what will happen if something goes wrong. We encourage you to write policies that promote customer trust. Below is an example policy:
I take great pride in my work. If you buy something and are unsatisfied with the result, I guarantee that I will work with you to adjust the design free of charge.
Custom work is non-refundable and once in-progress, custom projects cannot be cancelled.
For stock items purchased directly from my portfolio, I offer returns within 60 days of delivery. Shipping for returns is at the customer's expense.
If you need an item by a specific date or for a specific event, please let me know in advance of accepting a proposal.
