We encourage you to correspond with makers via CustomMade whenever possible. That way, we can create the best possible experience for you by knowing what you and the maker have said and agreed to.
However, if you and the maker agree that a phone call or other off-site communication is required, it’s OK to do so. In order to ensure that you are protected in the case of a project dispute, make sure that any changes you and the maker agree to -- on CustomMade or off -- are reflected in the project proposal. Don’t hesitate to ask a maker to send you a revised proposal when changes are agreed upon.
