Can I call or video chat with a customer?

When exchanging messages, images, and other files with customers, you are required to correspond via the CustomMade website.

However, if you and your customer agree that you need to communicate in a way that's impossible via the CustomMade website (like a phone call or video chat), it’s OK to do so. However, you're responsible for making sure that any changes you and the customer agree to -- on CustomMade or off -- are reflected in the project proposal. Don't hesitate to submit a revised proposal to the customer when changes are agreed upon (learn how to edit a proposal). Making sure the proposal accurately reflects what you and the customer have discussed gives you maximum protection in the unlikely event of a dispute.
